Melissa is thrilled to return to LPT following Fiddler on the Roof. Melissa is a native San Diegan with a B.M. from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. She is a versatile trumpet player and vocalist, with her current focus in Jazz, Latin, Brazilian, Klezmer and Balkan styles. Awarded “Best World Music Album??? at the 2011 San Diego Music Awards with a Latin Fusion Trio, Melissa also performs as flugelhorn player and Portuguese and Spanish vocalist in her Brazilian Fusion Duo, “Bela Vida Brasileira???. She has a Private Trumpet Studio of 30 students and is the Trumpet and Brass Coach at Westview High School. Cleveland (trumpet): Jekyll and Hyde, Peter Pan, My Favorite Year, Return to the Forbidden Planet, Song and Dance, The Wizard of Oz, Beauty and the Beast.
