Steve Smith is an actor, director, and teaching artist. After graduating with a BA in Theatre from the Florida State University in 2009, Steve spent a year teaching, directing, and developing programs for students and young audiences as Education Director for his hometown Lakeland Community Theatre. As an actor, Steve most enjoys working on brand new plays in festivals, workshop productions, and world premieres. He is also partial to playing Shakespearean roles that require some sword fighting. As a director, he’s worked with Scripps Ranch Theatre’s Out on a Limb Festival, Cygnet Theatre’s Outreach program Cygnet Serves, and the Theatre School at North Coast Repertory Theatre.
