Shaun Evans is originally from Riverside, California, but grew up in San Diego and studied Theatre at Occidental College in Los Angeles. There, as a full-ride scholarship student, he studied under such acting greats as John Bouchard, John Lithgow and even studied Shakespeare under Patrick Stewart, Kenneth Branagh and other notable members of the Royal Shakespeare Company. Shaun was lucky enough to get his Equity card at 18 and has since performed in nearly 50 professional productions as a union performer. Some of his favorite roles include "Sam" in Master Harold...and the Boys, "Jim" in Big River, "Walter Lee" in A Raisin in the Sun, "Coalhouse" in Ragtime, "Romeo" in Romeo and Juliet, "D'Artagnan" in Cyranno de Bergerac, "Corey" in Fences (US), "Othello" in Othello. Shaun T. Evans is the founder and Managing Artistic Director of the California Youth Conservatory Theatre, San Diego's boldest and most professional theatre company for young performers. Shaun lives in San Diego with his wife, Berna, and two sons, Shaun Jr and Dahani. In his spare time, he enjoys his second favorite passion, flying. Shaun thanks his family, friends and his beloved students for their belief and support.
