
Colin Escott and Floyd Mutrux

Floyd Mutrux (Original Concept, Director, and Co-Author of Million Dollar Quartet) apprenticed at the Alley Theatre in Houston and worked at Second City in Chicago; he attended Columbia University. He has conceived, written, directed, or produced 50 films, including Dusty and Sweets McGee; Freebie and the Bean; Aloha, Bobby and Rose; The Hollywood Knights; American Hot Wax; Dick Tracy; American Me; Blood In, Blood Out; There Goes My Baby; and Mulholland Falls. With his wife Birgitte, he is preparing a new film Moon Over Memphis (a rock-and-roll Field of Dreams.) He also co-wrote the musical Baby It’s You! with Colin Escott and helped adapt Sun Records, the new TV series based on Million Dollar Quartet. Million Dollar Quartet received three Tony Award nominations in 2010, including best book and best musical.

Colin Escott (Co-Author) Born in England, Colin Escott lives near Nashville, Tennessee. He is the author of Good Rockin’ Tonight: Sun Records and the Birth of Rock ‘n’ Roll, the first in-depth account of the Sun Records story. His book Hank Williams – The Biography has been adapted into the movie I Saw the Light, starring Tom Hiddleston and Elizabeth Olsen. His multi-CD box set, The Complete Hank Williams, won a Grammy, and another of his productions, B.B. King – King of the Blues, was nominated for a Grammy.
Million Dollar Quartet received three Tony nominations, including Best Book and Best Musical. Escott was part of the writing/producing team adapting the show for CMT/Viacom. The first season aired in 2016.

Patrick Duffy has been with Lamb's since 2004. Favorite rolls have been Bernardo in West Side Story at LPT, MacDuff in Macbeth at Intrepid, and Hyde in Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde at Ion. Other stage credits include Pete N Keely, The Book of the Dun Cow, Smoke on the Mountain, Cold Comfort Farm, South Pacific, and Rehearsal for Murder. Patrick won the Craig Noel “Outstanding Sound Design??? award for Les Mise??rables, and also designed Million Dollar Quartet, Once, MiXtape, Fiddler on the Roof, Pump Boys & Dinettes, Godspell, Boomers, The Fantasticks, The Light in the Piazza, Joseph, American Rhythm, The Secret Garden, and Enchanted April.

Jemima Dutra
Costume Design
Jemima has called Lamb’s Players Theatre her artistic home since 2006. Some of her favorite shows to costume design at Lamb’s have been: MiXtape, The 39 Steps, You Can’t Take it With You, Silent Sky, Camping with Henry and Tom, and Million Dollar Quartet. Costume design credits at other venues: All This and Moonlight, and An Inspector Calls (Scripps Ranch Theater), Old Wicked Songs and Talley’s Folly (North Coast Rep), Side Man (Bang! Productions),Ventura Music Festival, Eye of the Beholder, Classics for Kids-Music Takes Flight, Babar, The Art of Dance, and High Strung (Malashock Dance), Twain Fest, Poe Fest, and Yellow Wallpaper (Write Out Loud).

Rachel Hengst
Properties and Set Dressing
Rachel Hengst has worked with Lambs Players Theater since 2013. She made her professional theater debut in Mixtape as the Assistant Stage Manager and has
learned so much since then. Her Prop Design credits include Lamb’s Player’s productions of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, the latest incarnation of Mixtape, The Nerd, Miracle Worker, Dinner with Marlene, Equivocation, Camping with Henry and Tom, Once, and The Belle of Amherst. She thanks her family for their endless support and for God’s guidance in her life.

Mathys Herbert
Original Scenic Design
Credits include Catch Me If You Can, Rent, A Christmas Story, Sister Act, Freaky Friday, Young Frankenstein, and Bring It On with SDMT as well as Million
Dollar Quartet with Lamb’s Players at the Avo in 2019. Originally from Dayton Ohio, he holds a BFA in Acting from Wright State University and is currently working on his MFA in Scenic Design at SDSU.

Associate Artistic Director and Director of Educational Outreach, Kerry has been on staff at Lamb’s since 1976. As resident playwright, her work includes Boomers, American Rhythm, Dracula, My Asparagus Is Growing Fine and LPT’s annual Festival of Christmas. Directing credits include Million Dollar Quartet, Once, Shadowlands, miXtape, Amadeus, Smoke on the Mountain; Guys & Dolls, Trying, An Ideal Husband, Pretty Fire, Thunder At Dawn, Private Lives, The Boys Next Door, Beau Jest, The Foreigner and You Can’t Take It With You. As a performer she has been seen in such productions as Babette’s Feast; Hello, Dolly!; She Loves Me; Pump Boys and Dinettes; Into The Woods; Harvey, The Music Man, You’re A Good Man; Charlie Brown; Tartuffe; The Great Divorce; Quilters; Godspell; A Woman of No Importance; Till We Have Faces; Leaving Iowa, See How They Run and Dinner with Marlene.

a graduate of Biola University, Nate is Lamb’s Director of Production. He has been with Lamb’s since 1982 working as photographer, set construction,
lighting designer and performer.
