Blake McCarty is a performance and multimedia artist and educator, whose work has been seen in San Diego at La Jolla Playhouse, Cygnet Theatre, Ion Theatre, New Village Arts, Lamb’s Players, and Junior Theatre; and in New York at Dixon Place, The New Victory Theater, Theatre Row, La Mama E.T.C., and MCC Theater. Blake is the creator and producer of Play/Date, which premiered Off-Broadway in 2014 produced by 3-Legged Dog and he is currently directing Hall Pass with support from the California Arts Council. In addition to his work as an artist, Blake has developed educational programming for everyone from toddlers to senior citizens for organizations including San Diego Juvenile Court and Community Schools, City University of New York, New Museum, Guggenheim Museum, Tribeca Film Festival, San Diego Film Festival, and Invisible Children. He holds a BFA in Film Production and an MA in Educational Theatre, both from New York University.
