An Associate Artist with Lamb’s for 26 years. Oliver received his BA in Music from SDSU and his MA in Music from UCSD. He studied with world renowned double bassist Bertram Turetzky and was Principal Bassist with the La Jolla Symphony Orchestra for five years. Oliver toured the world for nine years with the U.S. Navy Band and has played for Presidents Carter, Ford, Reagan and Bush along with numerous dignitaries, foreign and domestic. He performed at the North Sea Jazz Festival in Holland and the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland with trumpet great Clark Terry. He also played the world premiere of a jazzy "A Midsummer Nights Dream", written and directed by bebop drum legend Max Roach. Oliver has recorded and toured with numerous jazz, rock, blues and country bands. He is excited to be back on this musical journey with Mixtape and his Lambs family!
